Using the Remote Trainer with Two Dogs
To use the BigLeash Remote Trainer with two dogs, you must have a receiver collar for the second dog (Collar 2). The collar for the second dog can be purchased from your local Dealer or from the online store.
Before using Collar 2 for the first time, it must be programmed to communicate with the transmitter (see programming instructions below).
Programming the Collar 2 Receiver
(Also referred to as “marrying” the transmitter and the receiver.)
- Step 1: Before adding Collar 2 to the transmitter, charge it for at least 3 hours.
- Step 2: Make sure both the transmitter and the receiver are turned ‘off’.
- Step 3: With the transmitter and the receiver turned “off”:
- S-15 Remote Trainer: hold down the ‘A’ button for 10 seconds until the screen on the transmitter turns ‘on’.
- V-10 Vibration Trainer: hold down the ((V)) button for 10 seconds until the screen on the transmitter turns ‘on’
- Step 4: Set the Training Level to ‘2’.
- Step 5: Hold down the Collar 2 button while turning ‘on’ the new receiver by aligning the receiver next to the transmitter at the alignment markers.
- Step 6: Continue to hold the receiver next to the transmitter. You will hear a series of beeps.
- Step 7: When the series of beeps stops, move the receiver away from the transmitter.
- Step 8: The second receiver is now programmed to the Collar 2 setting.
- Step 9: Turn the transmitter and receiver “on” in the usual way to use.
After programming Collar 2 to communicate with the transmitter:
- Press the collar 1 button on the transmitter and then select the appropriate training level for the dog wearing Collar 1. Press the collar 2 button and then select the appropriate training level for the dog wearing Collar 2. The transmitter will store the most recent settings for each collar.
- Use the Collar 1 and Collar 2 buttons to select which collar you want to receive the signal. You can switch from one collar to the other as needed.
- The display on the LCD screen will indicate if the transmitter is set to send the signal to Collar 1 or Collar 2.
- Collar 2 comes with a bright orange collar strap so that you can easily differentiate Collar 1 from Collar 2.
Programming the Collar 1 Receiver
If you ever need to “re-marry” Collar 1 to the transmitter, follow the same steps as Programming the Collar 2 Receiver, except:
- Step 4: Set the Training Level to ‘1’.
- Step 5: Instead of holding down the Collar 2 button
- S-15 Remote Trainer: hold down the ‘A’ button while turning ‘on’ the receiver.
- V-10 Vibration Trainer: hold down the ((V)) while turning ‘on’ the receiver.
