MB-1 Indoor/Outdoor
Wireless Dog Fence
An adjustable boundary for indoors and out
The MB-1 portable wireless electronic dog fence
Wireless
The MB-1 is a versatile battery-operated mobile pet fence that can be used either indoors or outdoors to create a pet-free zone. It is fully wireless, so it is easy to set up wherever you need it. The MB-1 is waterproof for outdoor use and it has a rechargeable battery.
Portable
The MB-1 creates a pet-free zone up to 8 feet in diameter (4 feet from the center). If you want a portable boundary system that can be used anywhere to protect a small area (trash, counters, furniture, flower gardens, sandbox, etc.), this is a perfect choice. Works with all DogWatch FM receivers.
Restore the peace.

Customer Story
"We can now keep the dog out of the cat box and from eating the cat’s food and keep the cat off of the kitchen counters and at an appropriate distance from the kitchen table. It was easy to set up and our pets adapted nicely. It’s a perfect solution, thank you!"

You asked, we answered
- How do Indoor Pet Fences work?
DogWatch Indoor Pet Fences emit a radio signal that is detected by the receiver collar worn by your pet—the same way the outdoor Hidden Fence systems work. As your pet approaches the signal field (initially marked with a series of flags to help your pet identify the area), the receiver collar begins to emit an audible (or vibration) warning beep. If your pet goes beyond the warning zone, the warning is quickly followed by a mild ‘correction’—an unpleasant, but safe, sensation from the receiver collar. With proper training, your pet will quickly learn to stay away from areas that he associates with the warning.
- What is the light on the transmitter?
The status light on the transmitter lets you know if the transmitter is turned on.
On the MB-1, the status light also lets you know the status of the transmitter battery. If the light is red, the battery needs to be charged. See Owner’s Guide for additional information.
Note: The green light may be steady green or blinking green. This depends on the frequency setting of the transmitter.
- How do I increase and decrease the signal range (the distance the signal radiates from the transmitter) to make the “off-limits” avoidance zone area larger or smaller?
On the back of the transmitter, there is a signal range knob.
- Turn the knob toward the ‘+’ to increase the signal range. This increases the size of the signal field.
- Turn the knob toward the ‘-’ to decrease the signal range. This decreases the size of the signal field.
- Do I need separate collars for inside and outside?
You do not need separate collars. Use the same collar inside and outside.
- How long does the battery stay charged?
The battery life of the MB-1 is determined, in part, by the rate setting and the range setting you select. The rate setting determines how frequently the signal is transmitted (fast, medium or slow.) The range setting is the distance the signal radiates from the transmitter. (See Owner’s Guide for additional information.)
When set at maximum range, the life of the battery charge is approximately:
- 4 days in ‘Fast’
- 7 days in ‘Medium’
- 30 days in ‘Slow’
Decreasing the range setting will increase the average battery life between charges.
- How large can I make the “off-limits” area?
The MB-1 can be adjusted up to a maximum of 8 feet in diameter (4 feet in all directions from the transmitter.)
Important: Do not set the transmitter on or near large metal objects.
