MB-2 Dual Function
Indoor Dog Fence
Not all rules are meant to be broken
MB-2 wired + wireless electronic indoor pet fence
Flexible
The MB-2 is our most flexible mobile solution to keep your pet safe inside. This transmitter can be used either with or without a boundary wire. The MB-2 works with all DogWatch FM receivers, so if you already have an outdoor Hidden Fence, you can use the same collar for both indoors and outdoors!
Wired + Wireless
You can install the MB-2 with up to 500ft wire to protect a large defined indoor area (such as a dining room or second floor). Or you can use it without a wire for greater flexibility to protect smaller areas (such as kitchen counters or litter boxes). Used wirelessly, the MB-2 can protect an area up to 13 feet in diameter (6 1/2 feet from center).
Customized Indoor Solutions
Our indoor pet fences work wherever you need them, quietly, effectively, and hidden from view. A harmless, noiseless signal lets you control where your pets roam in the house. You can use the same collar with both the indoor fence and the outdoor fence, so it is a great way to expand the value of your outdoor pet containment system.

Customer Story
"We can now keep the dog out of the cat box and from eating the cat’s food and keep the cat off of the kitchen counters and at an appropriate distance from the kitchen table. It was easy to set up and our pets adapted nicely. It’s a perfect solution, thank you!"

You asked, we answered
- How do Indoor Pet Fences work?
DogWatch Indoor Pet Fences emit a radio signal that is detected by the receiver collar worn by your pet—the same way the outdoor Hidden Fence systems work. As your pet approaches the signal field (initially marked with a series of flags to help your pet identify the area), the receiver collar begins to emit an audible (or vibration) warning beep. If your pet goes beyond the warning zone, the warning is quickly followed by a mild ‘correction’—an unpleasant, but safe, sensation from the receiver collar. With proper training, your pet will quickly learn to stay away from areas that he associates with the warning.
- What is the light on the transmitter?
The status light on the transmitter lets you know if the transmitter is turned on.
When using a boundary wire with the MB-2, the Status Light glows green only when there is a continuous signal loop. See Owner’s Guide for additional information.
Note: The green light may be steady green or blinking green. This depends on the frequency setting of the transmitter.
- How do I increase and decrease the signal range (the distance the signal radiates from the transmitter) to make the “off-limits” avoidance zone area larger or smaller?
On the back of the transmitter, there is a signal range knob.
- Turn the knob toward the ‘Max’ to increase the signal range. This increases the size of the signal field.
- Turn the knob toward the ‘Min’ to decrease the signal range. This decreases the size of the signal field.
- Do I need separate collars for inside and outside?
You do not need separate collars. Use the same collar inside and outside.
- How large can I make the “off-limits” area?
The MB-2 can be used with up to 500 ft of wire to protect a large area or create multiple “off limits” zones. When used wirelessly, the MB-2 can be adjusted up to a maximum of 13 feet in diameter (6.5 feet in all directions from the transmitter).
- Can I use the MB-2 outdoors?
No, the MB-2 is designed for indoor use only. If you are looking for a portable pet fence that can be used outdoors, check out our MB-1 Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Dog Fence. Or if you are looking for a pet fence to give your dog or cat freedom in your yard, check out our wired underground Outdoor Hidden Fences.
Important: Do not set the transmitter on or near large metal objects.
